I'm not sure if this is in jest, but if not, I tend to shy away from mindless gore, profanity, sex, vulgarity, but I believe that all (maybe not explicit sex) can be used appropriately.

It was not in jest. Just brutally, bluntly honest.

I believe some of those things can be used appropriately as well. I'm just interested to know how people that enjoy the freedom of watching graphic movies can avoid enjoying it. I watch that stuff and it starts to create an appetite for it. Pretty soon I'm enjoying it. Sure, I can objectively contemplate the merits of it or the societal statements being made, but I can't do that and NOT start enjoying it. I'm not seeing that anyone else struggles with that except the people that have decided to severely limit their movie choices.

It makes me wonder if people are being honest. Maybe they are. If so, I'm impressed and more than just a little baffled.

I thought the disturbingness of Saw was one of its best features. Horror movies too often rely on jump scenes and freaky images to scare. Saw was genuinely scary. The guy was a freakin' lunatic.

personally...i didn't care for it..mainly cause the acting was bad..well ok yea the acting pretty much sucked.....specially in that foot cutting off scene....i mean yea it would be pretty bad...but i thought overall the acting was less than satisfactory
