| I don't want to see this movie. I never liked Orlando Bloom, and I don't get why almost everyone else does. Plus, the movie just looks dumb. |

| I don't see what is so bad about seeing a movie alone. After all, it is not like you should be talking to each other during the movie. :| |

| ^depends on who you go with^
i dont like going alone, mainly cause I hate being alone, I hate the feeling of being lost in a crowd, even if I dont talk to the person it is a comfort to know they are next to me |

| I went and saw Batman Begins the other day...alone. Literally. I was the only one in the theater. And when I came out of the theater, there was only me and the last security guard waiting for me to leave so she could lock the place.

| I saw this movie. It was better than I thought I was going to be. Orlando pulls off a good American accent and Kirsten does a good southern accent. It was pretty funny! I'm normally not into this kind of movie, but I enjoyed it. I won't say too much so I don't spoil anything.

| I went to see it around two weeks ago and have no complaints. It was a good movie (sort of chick-flickish, but thats easily predicted from the previews). I would reccomend it. |

| I thought it was really lame and disappointing. I'm not a huge Cameron Crowe fan, but I generally respect his work. As often happens with stylized directors, this felt more like someone trying to do a Cameron Crowe film rather than Mr. Crowe just writing a movie. It had all the right pieces that make for a good Cameron Crowe film, but it just didn't work and lacked the spirit.
The entire film it felt like he was trying to get in contact with deep seated human emotions. It aims for failure, death, father figures, love, leaving home, lost opportunities, chance meetings....but while aiming to hit everything it fails to hit anything. The human side of things just didn't connect.
What was really frustrating was Cameron Crowe's need to prove he's still cool. In the past he's done a nice job of weaving "cool" music into his films. Here there was nothing subtle about it. It seemed like the film was switching to a new "cool" song every 30 seconds. Instead of merely setting the tone for the film, the soundtrack called immediate attention to itself, which is rarely a good thing. Further, elements of the film had a similiar feel. One specific character and his band's not so subtle rendition of "Free Bird" feel like Cameron Crowe poking you in the ribs and saying "see look how cool I am." Later in the film where a girl makes a guy several mixed CDs, you feel it in the ribs again. Where in his past films his cool characters and soundtrack made the film special, here they feel like a gimmick and forced.
It wasn't all bad, but there was very little that was really good. And whatever was good was greatly over-shadowed by the medicrity of the film as a whole. If I didn't respect some of his other work I probably wouldn't have left feeling so disappointed. Overall this was just not a strong effort from Mr. Crowe. |

| When it was first advertised by teaser poser back in the summer, I wanted to see it because of the poster layout and because it was a Cameron Crowe film. Then I saw the television spot...and lost all interest.
I'll probably rent it one weekend when it comes out, because my wife likes the food network lady that everyone is talking about.
