Download a MIDI file. Go into PowerTab editor. File -> Import -> MIDI File.

To attach a powerTab, click on "Manage Attachments" while posting.

Ok, I've had this program on my computer for almost a year now, and I've never used it, because everytime I start it up, all the buttons freak me out, and I don't know where to start. That, and I have no idea at all, what I"m doing. I'd really like some/alot of help. I really wanna be able to tab out songs for my learning pleasure, and this program is the key, but I don't know what I"m doing, and I"m no good at fooling around until I figure out how to do it...I need a tutorial, or the guy who started this thread to love me enough to help me, lol.

What's the difference?

In terms of learning songs, what's the difference between using Powertabs and simply reviewing posts/submissions in text formats in the archive?

I have yet to really use it because I don't know if it's worth the download and comp. disk space. It seems that powertabs is good for writing but I'm not that good a listening to a record and playing what I hear.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!
F

So do you post powertabs here or do you submit them to Mickey?
Are there only a handful of powertabs on the main site while the rest and most of them are in this forum?

I think you would do better posting in the theory and technique or the guitar forums actually.
