| TabIt is much easier to use PowerTab. These Programs use your computers MIDI to playback sounds. Every Computer has a soundcard on it that has at least 128 instruments with a sample of every note on it. There are Drum tracks, Guitar tracks, Bass, Brass instruments, etc... You can Download a trial version of TabIt at www.tabit.net |

| TabIt is not freeware like PowerTab, plus it can't do as much. Any problems you have with PowerTab will probably be fixed in the new version coming out soon. Here's a list of things that will be changed.

| bah, I still prefer TabIt, the only drawback is all of the message boards members are die-hard athiests that won't listen to anything. There are even a few agnostic members . However, most of them are mature enough to respect that I'm a Christian. |

| Tab-It is definately alot easier to use than PowerTab, but it still sucks. Every song I play is in either Drop D tuning or Drop C,(CGCFAd) and you can't even change the tuning in TabIt. Not to mention you can add effects to the guitars in PowerTab. (i.e. distortion guitar, overdriven guitar, clean guitar... etc) Sorry Mudvayne. My vote goes for powerTab. (Although I haven't figured out how to use it yet). |

| I played around with the TabIt demo for a while, and I've changed my mind. I discovered that you can change the tuning and midi sound for each guitar. Not to mention that TabIt can do drums as well. It still sucks that you have to shell out 20 bucks for the lousy thing, but it is alot easier to use than PowerTab. |

| The next PowerTab release will allow drums to be used, plus a bunch of other things. Check my previous posts to find the PowerTab site. There's a link on the front page that list the new features. Sorry, I don't know when it will be released.

It's nice to be able to DL my fav songs in PT so I can hear how they go, but as for tabbing my own... maybe I can find some junior college courses on it... |

| BTW, does anyone know where I could find some PowerTab guitar lessons? Also, is there a tutorial video available for the PowerTab editor software? |

| I don't uderstand what's so hard about it. The only thing I had trouble figuring out was how to do rhythm slashes. If you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you, but I would ask that you start a new thread for each question/group of questions.

| lol. It'd probably be easier to list the things I'm not having problems with.
btw, do you have to be sheet music legible to be able to make a PowerTab? I know absolutely nothing about sheet music. (Except for the fact that all cows eat grass.) |

| You need to know how to read rhythms, but other than that, no.
