in bible days when travelers would stop by from off the dusty road, local servants would bathe these weary travelers feet. This customary act of benevolence was performed for the nicities of the host, and the comfort of the traveler.

but in context with jesus, and his foot washing,
Mary Magdelene did one of the most lowliest things ever set aside for the act of servanthood. And whats more she washed his feet with expensive oil, and wiped them with her own hair. Waht an act of worship through servanthood.

Dear Jesus,
May we bow before you and offer you our best and serve you gladly. May we follow in they footsteps and heed your every command. In you r holy name we pray.
