If you want to be a rabbit breeder, don't plan on making a huge profit. It is better not to sell rabbits to a pet store. Most of them get diseases being in a cage with other rabbits, and are then, not good for someone to buy. You also have to love rabbits and be dedicated to them.

Oh. My. Goodness. Wow. Talk about resurrecting a thread!

Just so you know, I HAVE started my rabbitry (http://thebriarpatch.thestrawbearypatch.net/), and no, I have not made any profit yet. I'm still muchly in the red. If I decide to sell to a pet shop, I know which one I will sell to. THIS particular pet shop is incredible: very knowledgable owner, who knows what he's doing; clean shop; the works. But I think it's pretty much for the fun of it now.
