Sig Critique

Okay, in all the time I've been a member of this site, I never knew there was a forum on it. Anywho, here's some of my sigs and avatars. I make a bunch of them, mostly for people on other forums.

sigs

What program do you use to make sigs? I'm looking to learn how to make sigs but I don't have a program to use. Are there any good free ones out there? Thanks

I use GIMP. You can do cool stuff once you figure out how I made my signature with GIMP.

What is everyone's input on the sigs and avatars I made? This really wasnt a thread about what Image Editing programs are free and good.

Your sigs and avatars are awesome.

I would try downloading some eccentric fonts, and experimenting more with the text. There is really so much more you can do, the possibilities are endless. The animated ones are well done.

There's not much you can critique with a signature as it really is just personal expression. You're just trying to bring out something about the person, so really, if you manage to do that, then great. While you use photoshop and make pretty sigs, others use paint and make hilarious sigs. Is one or the other better? Nope, just different styles and personalities. Like I said, not much you can critique.

If you were designing advertising banners or something, then that's something you can critique as there are things that are required to make it good. Sigs are personal expression.

Nice work overall. I'd agree with Meg that you should expirement more with fonts and such, though. Keep up the great work!
