They all played the character differently, so I think they were all good in different ways. Except for George Lazenby of course.

A few weeks ago I saw the 4 guys that were up for the spot, and felt that only Daniel Craig would be able to fit it. I think he'll do fine.

He was bad. As was Timothy Dalton.

No, Timothy Dalton was bad. George Lazenby SUCKED.

...but judging by this guy's appearance, Lazenby might suck considerably less after Casino Royale is released.

Timothy Dalton was grim. He was GrimBond.

Sean Connery - SuaveBond.

Roger Moore - SillyBond.

George Lazenby - CrapBond.

Pierce Brosnan - CoolBond.

I like that breakdown.

Roger Moore was tolerable. Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby were terrible. Really, I thought Pierce Brosnan was one of the better Bonds since Sean Connery. I'm willing to give this new a guy a chance. Given some makeup and good acting he could cut it.

As a New Zealander, I apologize for Die Another Day.
GoldenEye was one of the best Bond movies ever, even though they went with the Beemer. They went down hill slowly until they crashed when Lee Tamahori got a hold of Die Another Day. It just became far too "American".

I was originally hoping for Clive Owen, but I'm pleased with Daniel Craig. As Insane Drummer pointed out, he has a Roger Moore-ish quality to him, though less gimpy and more gritty. I haven't seen any of his stuff, but so long as Bond maintains his wit, I won't mind. As if my opinion mattered anyway.

That was what I was going to say. He looks drunk...

Hmm. I'm not sure I really like the pick, but I'll refrain from truly passing judgement on him until we see him in action.
