Rey
went to pray
by the bay.

Rey
went to pray
in the hay.

Rey
will even pray
with a grey
beret.


The grey
beret
started to fray
when Rey
fried a filet.

So he started to pray
for a new beret.
Because today
Rey will say
"When you pray,
God says yay!
For it's His way
that everyday
You don't just pay
or simply lay
But you survey
what's on your tray
and say 'Hurray,
God's good today!

Be content Rey
and stay away
from saying nay
when you pray
but say okay
to God's way.

For you just may
decide to sway
when you weigh
God's work today
Remolding His clay
that He calls Rey.

So this is what Rey

When you pray
life's not so grey!

So when you PRAY
do it in everyway
even though you may
have a bad day
God will surely say
Everything will be okay
You are no stray
but key in the array
of My beautiful bouquet.

Then God will say,
'You're perfect in every way!'

Well, I'm not in to limericks. So, you could say I am biased.
But, it just seems like a bunch of ryhming words stuck together. There is no thought that it brings up, poetry is more than that. I think anyway.

It's not really a limerick ... I wasn't sure what the actual def'n was so I looked it up
Limerick - A light humorous, nonsensical, or bawdy verse of five anapestic lines usually with the rhyme scheme aabba.

Close but no cigar!

I find that a lot of the poetry on this site is depressing! I thought I'd lighten it up a bit.
