I think the only thing would be to vignette it more....though I don't know if I want to do that.
So....anyone have anymore photos? | Or does anyone have photos they already posted that nobody has critiqued? |

You might not have been able to help this but because she's a bride I think it would be much more fitting if she was sitting on a lush silk or velvet comforter in a much softer color and in one color not a bold colored pattern. The plaid patter is to "rough", maybe even if the squares weren't so big it wouldn't be so rough but the soft "sexy" look the bride has just doesn't go with comforter she's sitting on. LOVE the pic though, GREAT composition in every other aspect!

but something i noticed and should've taken into account before...is that everyones monitors have different color calibrations. I agree that my photo looked a little orangish when viewing on the other computer, but on this one is looks good.
So...I think this whole judgement of color thing is going to be difficult for all of us.

| Thank you.
Yes, that is true.
The quilt is not anything horrible. I had to decide on whether or not I liked it. I know if it were my wedding photo, I would not complain (as I do not even know if I will have photos at my wedding now).
Did the bride like it?
I need to go get my photos on CD before I can post more. I want to post new ones, not old junk. |

| Here's one from my honeymoon. It's an Episcopal church in Key West.

I like the picture a lot, except the way the top and bottom left branches cover parts of the building. Especially the top one. I think it draws my attention away from the subject. |

| #1 - I'm not crazy about that one. It seems out of frame. A better shot would've been taken from ceiling level so you could get the sign and have a good view of the people as well. Not very possible, but better.
#2 - I really love the colors in this one. The road with mercury lighting looks great against the color of the sky and the hint of green. The longer exposure is cool, but there's a little too much dead space on the roads. Great picture, though.
#3 - It's cool how the bridge casts a shadow on the landscape, although it would be nice if the cliff wasn't blocking the right part of the picture. Perhaps 30 minutes earlier or later would've worked better. Nice color scheme, maybe a hint less yellow.
#4 - I like the landscape, but it feels very closed in, like a good picture that got cropped too much. It definitely needs more snow in it, so kneeling or lying prone would've helped. A panoramic shot would've really opened this one up. I like the subtle lens flare on the middle tree.
#5 - I don't really know what to think of this one. The top left corner needs a street light. I would've liked it better if your brother was wearing long pants and a less baggy shirt. A slight halo around his head would've been nice, too.
Overall a good set of pictures.
I might appreciate another comment or two on my last one. I'll post more soon.

| Here's a few more from my honeymoon. They're all G rated.
#1 - Taken at the Mayan ruins of Tulum. This picture actually had about 10 people that I cut out.
#2 - Also at Tulum.
#3 - In the lobby of our cruise ship from about 6 stories up. Not much dead space in that one, eh?

This is the last shot of the day for me. | The reflection is cool, but there is too much brick. Quote: |

| I'm a little late to still be talking about Brandon's bridal shot, but I gotta say it. I agree with Delaina about the quilt thing. The material I think is just perfect as far as the texture of it with the velvet/suede/leather softness, but a single color would've worked better. Some things are beyond our control, though.
The other stuff is probably because I'm a guy, but the composition of it is GREAT to me....extra quilt in it and all. This is a bridal shot. She's got this provocative "Come here, you. I've been waiting..." look about her and the excess quilt in front of her sort of invites you (if you're the new husband, of course!) to crawl across the bed to get to her. Almost a "honeymoon shot" more than a bridal shot. Ha. Again, this is probably because I'm a guy...
Doug... The church shot in Key West (I LOVE Key West, by the way...) seems a bit dark. Needs some brightness/contrast adjustment as it seems your camera overcompensated for the bright sunset (I'm assuming) light against the church. The Tulum photos are nice, though I think I'd like to see more beach in the first one. In the second I'd like to see more water to the right. The focus on the cruise ship shot seems a little soft, particularly up close where the beads/balls are.
Rach: I've liked this "market" shot since the first time I saw it. I don't necessarily think it should've been taken close to the ceiling, but it feels a bit to me like the camera was at an odd angle or something. I'd fix that, but it's cool otherwise. In the dusk highway scene I'd like to see a longer exposure time (would need a larger number aperture since it would make it too bright) so the cars are passing completely through the frame and don't just look like they happened to be there. You'd need a tripod for that, too. "Green" lake shot...back out so you can see the entire bridge shadow or get the entire point of the land mass in the foreground in the shot. Kind of confusing as to what the subject is supposed to be as it is. Kinda reminds me of Colorado when I went in August.

My wife was rushing me on that shot because we were going to the southernmost point to watch the sunset. Quote: |

| I went to the arch again last night and brought a tripod. Unfortunatly, I didn't have a lot of time to get all the shots I would want, but here's a couple I did get. My project is to take pictures with light as the subject with at least two with the light source not in the picture. Here's a couple I've got resized so far. I got more to come... |
