Same girl? Almost looks like it. Freaky.
I almost think the second one would have been more effective as a nude shot. It's not like you'd see anything in that pose anyway, but the clothes kind of take away from the animalistic / gargoylish nature of the pose and are a bit distracting where they cover the tattoo. I think I might have liked to see her other hand, too. Otherwise, it's pretty intense, even with the slightly silly melodramatic facial expression she's got going on.
| #1) Yes. Same girl.
#2) These shots were part of a whole project I did for her....the nude would not have worked.(and this was in a public park...sheesh!) Although, I agree.
#3) Heh. This shot was very...."calm". About 250 of the shots were her being completely over-the-top or just plain goofy. She was what the spainiards call "el terrible". |

#813 | | Cool enough Administrator | I looked through all of the ones you put up of her on Flickr. I really like the series. The first of the two you posted here is a really nice portrait. This is probably my favorite of those you posted. So, nothing negative from me. |

| Great shots. The only thing I'd say is that some of them really don't need the vignette, and it's almost a bit distracting to me at times. Overall, though, excellent! Great composition and looks. |

I'm going to start working with more model/fashion type stuff. Let me know your thoughts.

| That definitely looks a bit dark. I also think you should have picked an area on the background that the blue plumes or whatever those are would stand out against more. |

| Mmm, maybe a little too dark, but not too much. I think it can pull off the darker look. It kinda adds this feel of softness to it. Making it brighter might add a little depth to it though? I dunno, maybe I'm beginning to like photos that are somewhat "flat" if they are done well, and I think if "flat" could be done well, this photo does it. All the colors go so well together. That was my first impression. My second was that I really like these photos you've been doing lately. They have a nice polished, professional look without looking overprocessed, which can be so hard to resist these days. I just love how natural it looks, with a very subtle vignette that I can tell helps the photo, but the untrained eye wouldn't be able to tell it's a vignette... again something that's becoming harder to resist overdoing.
You said "model/fashion".... for a model, it works well. For fashion, maybe not so much? I'm not much of a fashion photographer or an expert at it by any means, but if it were specifically meant to focus on the fashion, the dress she's wearing doesn't seem like a primary thing I notice. But I doubt this shot was intended to sell dresses |

| I love that one, and I think that one near her chin balances it a little bit.

| Not to be all nazi about it or anything, but if Brandon wanted critique, he'd post the photo in the critique thread. Not that he couldn't take a little critique, but it was my understanding this thread was for displaying photos (i.e. a gallery) rather than get critiques. |

And my name is also Jon D. Though you may refer to me as Jon Do. as opposed to Du. |
