Honestly, I'm not too crazy about it. The hand doesn't really stand out against the background and the butterfly's right wing is a bit out of focus. Sorry.

I appreciate your honesty. I still love the picture though.

The one and probably only time of the year for us here in TX, it iced last week. Here is a pic I took of some frozen leaves.

I like both of the pictures you posted. The focus works well in bringing out the subject. My only compaint is that the color scheme is a little too limited so it's difficult to perceive depth.

First mistake is that you used flash. The color is all off. Compositionally, it's not too bad though. And I like photos where the person looks like they're not really conscious of the camera and trying to look their best. It's natural. And I like that about it.

EDIT: I just realized you didn't even take this, but your wife did. Are we supposed to be submitting photos we didn't take? Oh well.

apparently nothing: my take on the second photo is that you lost some of the definition due to the sharpness of the film, but the lack of contrast on the snow. I'm wondering if some filters would have helped that (i.e. yellow/orange). Are you shooting DSLR, and have that option, or are you shooting a point & shoot?

This one doesn't really do much for me. I like the candidness of it, but it leaves more to be desired.

Also those two black things are distracting. Photoshop
