| Milk and Cookies with Mrs. M Good. You are now ready to experience my blog. You will know it is time to turn the page when you hear this sound. . .
Thank you, and enjoy your journey.
I am here for the most unique and wonderful reason: my daughter and a couple of her friends wanted me to join.
So - besides the fact that I have this amazing daughter, you should know that I'm very, very old. I've been married for 27 years and have long ago finished the whole Bachelors/Masters thing. I like a lot of the same music that many of you enjoy: Straylight Run, Copeland, Anberlin, Mae, FIF>BS2 (they are quite gifted, don't you think?). But before you make the mistake of thinking that I am remotely cool or even interested in being so, I should also add that I have just removed from my car several other of my favorite CD's, including Windham Hill's Bach Variations, Coleman Head 21st Century Blues, The Best of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band ... hey - does anybody know if Preservation Hall survived Katrina? Oh - and James Taylor's Greatest Hits. Some weekends I feel the need to listen to every song JT has ever recorded. Some people would just take Zoloft, but Sweet Baby James works for me.
Now that I've scared you all away - - talk to me. |

| Oh, how nice of all of you to come and visit. Let's see:
Seth - I don't think I've heard Seventh Day Slumber, but perhaps I will give them a listen. And, Andrew is pretty resilient - I don't think he will be too disturbed about not being the first poster. Thanks for the first post!
Child o' Mine - Now you can read over MY shoulder!
Ben - I don't know much about you at all, but thanks for wiping your feet. Excuse me while I have a Mom moment - it's spelled "ciao", Dear, not "chow". But kudos for knowing the meaning.
Gustin - Hope all is well in Florida. When I was in college (a long time ago) we were obsessed with basketball. That would be Fresno State men's basketball. The team was very good in those days. One of the players was Mark Gustin - he was this huge guy who never got to play. For the last game we made a banner that said "Trust 'n Gustin" and hung it in the arena. The coach put him in for the last few minutes of the game and he scored a basket or two. As I recall he was one of the few guys on the team who actually went on to get a degree and a job. You needed to know that story.
Kaleigh - Hello! I have no useless stories for you, but I'm so glad you came to visit.
Now, somebody tell me how I can invite Mara's Mom over to my blog for a visit. I think we should have coffee, or eat caramels, or something equally as arbitrary. |

YOu know there aer several possiblitys........ | Both.
Now everyone's going to realize that mom has cooler music tastes than I do, and that she has fun stories, and then you'll all abandon my blog. |
