We got married 3 weeks after I graduated from high school, but we waited many years before starting a family. We put ourselves through college and bought a house first.
Now I have a story for you that I hope you will laugh about, because I have recovered completely. A couple of months after Taylor joined CGR she told me that one of the SuperMods was from Tulare. I read your post, which totally threw me into Mama Bear mode. We aren't from Tulare, but we are pretty darn close, and I have about 200 relatives in Tulare County (really). So, I immediately went to read your blog, which of course starts out with blowing up cars and knife fights. After stalking you for about a week I decided that you were a rock solid Christian who asked a very reasonable question. Here's the post: http://www.christianguitar.org/forum...2&postcount=14
Thanks for keeping CGR a safe place. I appreciate you. |
Well, you probably know about Tulare when I was growing up there. It was not a very nice place. I lived on border territory between Loco's and Angel's. It was not fun. Tulare did provide a place for me to get a taste of what was to come for me and a good place to prepare for life. I learned a lot there.
Time has changed me a lot though. In my defense, my first knife fight was when a druggy attacked me to steal the money I had for my paper route. (around $360.)
Second was a long time later fighting between friends of mine who had turned to mortal enemies when I was backslidden in high school.
The car... was too worthless to be towed, and way off in the middle of the desert. (When I lived in Victorville) It was a gremlin. We decided that since nobody would tow it off, we would blow it into manageable pieces to toss in the dumpster. We ended up burying the motor though. I know I know, stupid high school guy problem solving, though it was fun.
I have not gotten in any fights in a few years unless you count having a(n ex-)coworker shove you around and not shoving back. That was last week.
Im still somewhat curious as to where exactly you guys are from. Visalia sounds reasonable, but I have the feeling you guys are a little northeast of there. And my sense of direction is lousy, legendarily lousy. |

please take the time to check these guys out and listen to them "Jesus Christ, Light of the World, You never did forget me
and when i bled in darkness, You held me, still held me
when desparate nights i cursed You, You loved me, still loved me
Jesus Christ, You dry the tears, You break my heart of stone
Your words are life, cut marrow through the darkness to the bone
a heart of flesh You gave me, only You can save me" |

| Hello, Mrs. M. If Taylor told me correctly, I believe I have the same name as your husband. I hope this doesn't disturb you. Your blog is going to be awesome, and I plan on visiting on a regular basis.

| Yes, Neal - spelled the same way. It takes much more than that to disturb me. For example, here are some things that bother me quite a lot:
Michael W. Smith
Dolls
Whistling
Hello Kitty
Thomas Kincaide paintings |

| The whistling is the worst. Trust me. Never whistle in her presence. Ever. |
