That story made me smile. When I played on the varsity basketball team the coach didn't put me in much either. However, I played JV at the same time and I was ALWAYS in, so I didn't miss playing that much.

I would wipe my feet, but they are already clean. I do believe that my feet are clean, intrinsically.

Anyhow. You need to give us a name/alias to call you. I want to call you Taylor's Mom. But then I will try to abbreviate that, and it will be TM. And then I will start calling you TiM. And I am not sure I like that, and I doubt you will like being called a predominately masculine name.

That aside, welcome to the world of CGR. I am glad you finally joined. I appreciate your musical tastes, greatly. I appreciate your usage of Static Guard too. Tell me what sort of computer you have. What is your favorite type of toothpaste? How did you meet your husband?

If you ever need music recommendations, you know who to talk to.

Again, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. You are more than welcome in this generally teenage community. I like it when parents are involved in their children's social lives, online and off. Unless they are my mom. Then they embarass me a lot.

It's because I was putting some time and thought into my first post in TiM's blog.

Hello Jes! *returns maniacal wave*. Yes, we have spoken on the phone, and it's true that my dear husband usually answers - this is partly because I'm on the phone a lot at work and really don't want to answer it at home, and partly because it is almost always for him anyway. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Andrew! Thank you for the warm welcome. It is very nice to speak with you directly.

TiM is just weird. I hadn't thought about what anyone should call me. My user name is courtesy of Mike, whom I will thank if he ever posts here. Perhaps "Mrs. M." would work for you? If not, we can keep working on it

So let's see - yes, you seem to have figured out my musical taste related to alternative Christian music. Now, if you tell me that you are a fan of Alan Parsons Project I'll fall over and die. Gaudi - La Sagrata Familia.

And, I get Andrew questions!

My computer is a laptop - an HP Pavilion zd8000. Now, that means a lot more to you than it does to me, but the very smart young men who work in our IS department at the hospital say it's a shame that I have such a cool laptop and I don't really use it to it's full potential. Someday I will find the time to figure out what's so cool about it. I bought it because it has a 10 key on the board so I don't have to use the numbers across the top.

Toothpaste? We have been an Aquafresh family for many, many years. You are funny.

I met my dear husband in kindergarten. Well, that isn't exactly true - but he was in first grade when I was in kindergarten, and we went through all of our school years together, but I don't remember him until Jr. High. He was in this jazz band - played the saxaphone, and he was pretty good - and pretty cute. In high school we were both involved in drama -that's where we really got to know each other.

One of my main goals is to NOT embarrass that Child of Mine on here. Hopefully I haven't failed yet.

I think I answered everything. This is a rather time consuming activity, isn't it?

Now, go hug your mother.

I hate the phone. It's only good for talking to my boyfriend (crstngtrplyr77, Gustin) and my best friend Sarah (guitargirl12889), outside of that, I could care less of the tellerphone. Oh, and for talking to your very awesomely cool undisclosed aged ending in "teen" year old daughter

I was going to do this originally but I didn't know if that would be ok or not so I guess it is .

Do you like rice?

Phadagasmagorically, to be precise. I always love calling friend's parents Mr./Mrs. *first letter of last name*. Even though I have no idea what your last name is, I like this. Mrs. M it shall be.

To be honest, I have never heard the name. I would probably like it, but I just have never heard it.

I hope you like them, because you will probably get a lot.

I shall just go drool quietly in the corner.

I find it funny that a KEY was the deciding factor in your purchase. So much for advertising to the elite computer using generation, HP.

I am a connoisseur of toothpastes. I recommend that you try some Colgate Cinnamon or Colgate Lemon. Toothpaste is so fun to experiment with. For real.

Hardcore. Highschool sweethearts, eh? That is my parents, too. Except they just passed the 22 year mark, and they got married fresh out of high school.

Haha. I haven't seen anything intrinsically embarassing, yet. I will let you know if she is justified in embarassment. Just ask me, I am the king of objectivity.

A little bit. This post took me about four minutes.

She was at the beach all weekend so she went to bed at nine o'clock, bless her soul. She has been in bed for three hours now.

I'm not sure if you are joking or not - but just in case. . . I was talking about the numbers pad - the 10 keys arranged like a calculator in addition to having the numbers across the top. When you do Excel spreadsheets that involve a lot of numbers, the "10 key" is a very helpful tool. It's an ancient accounting term. I am not an ancient accountant, nor an accountant at all - but I use Excel.

Oh! I thought you meant there was a literal "10" key, which I found bloody odd. But yes, the numpad is my hero. I use it quite often while doing my programming homework. I know a lot of laptop owners who buy a USB connecting numpad, though.

Hello, Mrs.M.

I do not feel justified in saying something like "greetings" because I'm in your blog, and do not wish to be disrespectful. Also, I don't feel justified in saying much of anything at all, so I think your blog may have just attracted its first token post, and even that seems slightly inappropriate.
*sigh*
I do not have the ways of Andrew...

Well, yes - I do like rice. When I was growing up we ate sweet rice (with milk and sugar) for breakfast. Other than that, we didn't eat rice very often. Now we have it fairly often. However, if you have a choice, I recommend opting for the wheat instead.

Seth said: a lot of helpful things. Thank you.

Seth, what do you do besides play guitar, listen to music, spend time on CGR, and help old ladies across the street?

Hello Small. It is so nice to hear from you, even if it is a "token post". I hope that you will come back when you can stay longer.

Andrew - are the programming courses a stepping stone for your degree, for employment, or just for fun? All of the above?

I am pursuing my major in computer programming, currently. I also find programming very fun, so I guess you could say it is all of the above.

I am guessing you are employed somewhere in medicine, seeing as you work at a hospital. Are you just a doctor, or something else? How did you decide on the profession you chose?

Our PowerBook (laptop) has the 10 key in the letters. If you turn on the number lock you can use it. It's 0=m, 1=j, 2=k, 3=l, 4=u, 5=i, 6=o, 7=7, 8=8, and 9=9.

Hi Mrs. M! How are you doing this fine day? Right now it is partly cloudy up here in western WA. The sun is poking out through the clouds and making the wet leaves sparkle. 'Tis very beautiful. *sigh*
Have a great day!
