Recent Scribbles

This thread is similar to Recent Pics in GD, except you post recent scribbles/drawings/digital manipulations of drawings.

I finished this one a few minutes ago. This is my second ever shot at drawing 'anime'. I don't know much about it, the only shows I've ever seen are 'Pokemon' and 'Dragonball Z', but I have seen a whole lot of fan art on the net. I kind of know what the style is meant to look like, but I've never really learnt how to draw it. I hope it looks OK.
What I did was I drew it as 'lineart' with pens, scanned it, made the white transparent then coloured it in from a layer underneath. I finished it up with a crappy gradient and a speech bubble for utter randomness. As you can see, it's just a rough drawing.
Woo!

This was an image floating around in my mind that I was impelled to sketch on a piece of paper.

This one isn't very recent, but I like it. I coloured it in with a black pencil.

Happy Wafers!

This isn't very recent, more like a few months ago. But it took me a very long time to finish, it's a coloured pencil drawing of one of the Meatloaf album covers. It was a little too big for the scanner, some of it is cut off. But still good!

This might seem a little weird for some.

I drew Fairy-Man, and coloured him in the same way I did the 'anime' pic up there. ^

No one's replying in my thread.

Freaky. It's like the girl from The Ring. Freaky. I like her finger. It's like she's about to put a hex on somebody.

Cool use of shadow to define form. They must be an alternative rock band; they're not smiling.

To the best of my understanding anime characters never look like they are saying what actually comes from their mouths, although that could be due mainly in part to japanese to english dubbing.

Yup, thats exactly what I said when I first saw it.

Magan all your drawings and sketches are awesome. I would post some but I don't have a scanner, and I haven't really sat down to do a sketch or drawing in years, besides the doodles on my hand one in a while.

You have a valid point, as always.

I found that picture in a magazine that was lying around. Thought I might try my hand at that style.

I was thinking about all those pathetic gimmicks they use to sell just about anything these days, and my ponderances fell into the form of Happy Wafers.

Someone else should seriously post something they've drawn in here.
Someone asked me to draw this for a Youth newsletter a little while ago. I thought the trees came out alright.

I just took some photos of some drawings and doodles I haven't yet posted. I'll see if I have enough money to upload them.
