i maent that she seemed to be a kick butt wierdo girl in the movie but prior to when she came out of that shell she seemd to be a somewhat boring character.

i seemed to see sin as more of the main theme. But that's not what i meant. i thought the driving story line should have been why river was a telepath and what a telepath was. i mean, these people have not got weapon technlolgy past the bullet and yet they have human telepaths?!?!?!?

that is a REALLY short show... wow, that would suck if you really liked it, it's almost like a mini-series.

Actually in the show, the alliance has energy weapons, it is only the backwater planets who still use bullets.

Well, I've gotta go against the crowd. I saw this yesterday and I found it really boring. I got the story, but it just wasn't very original or interesting. The characters were too cliche for words.

This movie kicked my ass in so many ways. If anyone found it boring...then I wouldn't know how to respond. The last thing I'd call this movie would be boring. I only saw a couple isolated episodes of Firefly but I didn't feel left out or that I was missing anything essential. It was just a great sci-fi-western-action-adventure. I loved it.

Ok, here's the deal. A mate of mine works at a video store and one of the boss' friends came in the other day. The boss' friend said that he saw a promo copy of the film and then when he saw the version in Australian theatres, there was a bunch of crap cut out of the film that was essential to the story. So that may be why I didn't like it.

Saw this last week knowing next to nothing about Firefly and I enjoyed it more than I really expected too. The last half-hour was just fantastic.

There was a time when I thought he was just going to kill off everyone...

I saw it again. I really enjoy this movie.

I wrote a review for Serenity after I saw it theatres. I'd seen the show and absolutely enjoyed it. It translated very well to the big screen in my opinion.

The DVD has also been announced with a release date of December 20th.
