| Ripples (RC) Ripples
Hanging out on empty
Sidewalks, inside taxi cabs;
All of the places we used to be,
Used to be so close...
Now we're so very far away.
Hanging around doorways,
Where your silhouette plays tricks
On my eyes, in my heart.
All of those empty, meaningful
Conversations, fast forward to my mouth;
And we're back, back
Where we've always been.
All the little games we've played,
Each feeling we've shared;
With introversion and introspection,
Realizing absolutely, one and only!
One symbiotic existence.
Millions of simple details remind me
Of these memories surviving,
Like ripples on the ocean surface. |

| Wow, sarah, great poem. I think each one of yours that I read is better than the last. |

| I just read your reply to my comment, and guess which artist I am listening to?
That's right, Bob Marley Muse.
Is it one you would not mind me setting to music? If you already have a version, we could compare them someday. Or call mine a cover.

| Oh, I'd love it to be set to music. I haven't tried, but you can take a swing at it. Just let me know how to play it when you're through! |

| I will take the proverbial swing tonight. I may have to modify the lengths of a stanza or two, but I'll try not to add any of my own words (as these are perfect for the image). I'm not as good a guitarist as Matt Bellamy, so it'll probably be mostly chords instead of the awesome sort of lead/rhythm riffing he does.
Oh, and I'll mail your birthday mix soon, I'm sure.

| Ever since I made that last post, I've been working on it, and I had ideas for many things (and good ideas they were, too, in my humble opinion), but I have been cut short by technical difficulties. Here is what I have finalized and recorded so far.
My voice isn't so good at the beginning or end, but remember that this is just a demo. I'll get you a better recording eventually.
Galen

| Technical difficulties = broken string?
It sounds incredible, I really really like it. My goodness. Are the chords very hard? It sounds kind of like a Dm or something? But I really do like it. It goes incredibly well with what I was getting at. |
