That's fantastic, Delaina! My wife and I were both saved when we got together, but we didn't really focus on bringing the Lord into our lives until the last year or so (almost 4 years into our marriage). We'd read and talk about what we read a bit, but getting me to read in scripture was like pulling teeth, in many ways. I wouldn't read at work, I felt like I had too much to do at home to work. When I tried to read on the bus, I fell asleep. It wasn't a good situation.
Now, I take a few minues (usually about 15 or so) after my alarm goes off and pray. I read scripture (most mornings) while I have my breakfast. I read and do bible study at lunch.

I love that my husband gets up just a bit earlier to have a quiet time before work, and there certainly is a difference in him when he does and when he doesn't

This is so true. My wife has noticed a huge difference in me, particularly over the last 8 months of so when I've really started to dig into the Word and really put myself to my prayer time. And I notice when she needs more prayer time or time in the Word.
My wife speds most of the day in the Word. When I get home we talk about what we've read, what went on during the day, and how it can be used to God's glory. It's brought to us a closeness that had been missing for a long time.
You're right on about ministry being a big way of showing how God is working in the world. Up until this weekend, we'd only worked with kids at one church. This church is large, and we're used to having 20 - 30 kids each Wednesday evening. On Sunday we had our first day with the kids at the second church we're working with. We had two! I'm not normally one to have verses for this situation or that, and on Sunday I was! It certainly wasn't me, it was the Lord using me as an instrument to reach these kids. It was awesome, it was wonderful! Just being where God can use you is the greatest blessing I think that one could hope for. Sunday was truly a "God day" for us.
