I just want some advice on how you feel
Say there is this girl who is 15 and she knows this guy who is 5 yrs older than her.... She really likes him and he likes her but because of the age difference they dont date..They continue to be good friends
They wait a few years and hook up a lil later...is this bad or what do you feel about the situation

Age differences are one of those things that are huge for some and not for others. Personally if i was over 20 i would never date some one who was still in school. I just think that is not appropriate. However i have never been in a situation where i would want to, so im not commenting from experience.

After school at college or whatever, ages don't mean so much. Im in classes with people 5 years older than me, i sometimes hang out with people nearly ten years older than me. Once you are studying out of school or working, ages are much less important.

Hmm i don't know if thaty made sense... i hope it did.

a 5 year age difference isn't really that big of a deal, but if one is 15 and the other is 20, the only thing to do is wait.

Yeah I think so too. I'm fifteen but yet I always seem to appeal to older guys so that's why I'm waiting till I'm like 18.

20 year olds who are after 15 year olds are usually either:

A) Immature and not worth your time as they never will mature.

B) After sex, and just want you in bed.

These are generalizations, but very true ones.

be very cautious with older guys, at least until you are around 20. I don't know what you mean by hook up. (where I am thats a euphemism for have sex, so my position on that would be obvious)

It varies from region to region. (I've always known hook up as have sex, also. Go out was what meant go out.)

I think that waiting is the right thing. However the danger is that you wait and because you waited the girl automatically goes out with the guy, whether she really wants to or not.

I would wait until out of school, or year 12 ish. I.e. 17-18.

not only does it vary in the region it varies in the setting. sometimes one of my friends would use the term hook-up in a certain place(church for example) and i know what she means but if she were to say it in school i might think otherwise! just the settings and what is said in the settings by different people!
