| Okay so my band all of a sudden stopped in the middle of practice today and all four of us blurted out almost in perfect unison that we hate our current name...
Soo... we brainstormed for almost and hour and came up with bupkiss... so we decided to take a break from the stormin and play some music and I came up with an amazing name... and then we all agreed on it... and then we played our song... and then subsequently forgot the name...
So what I'm very verbosely trying to say (can you tell I'm the frontman?) is... we need a name...
Here's a couple names we liked but were taken so we're trying to go along similar lines... Also, we're a grunge band...
The Usual Suspects
Innocent Bystander
Thank you for your time, your clothes, and your motorcycle, this one is called NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

| When you said "came up with bupkiss," I thought you were naming the band Bupkiss. So that's what I suggest. |

| Actually... that may end up being our name... I like it.. Thank you Skeeter... if by some random chance we become famous someday, you can tell your friends "I named them."

| Well.. our other guitarist didn't like it... so I remembered the name I cam up with last night.. it was The Deviant Faction... We're also considering The Quiet Faction... I like them both but I'm leaning more towards Quiet... But I think the other two (there's four of us but our drummer is unreachable at the moment) like Deviant better... I have no strong feelings towards one over the other, just slightly prefer quiet.

| My band is Forever Yours. I like it, but I want something else. Something unique and definitive. Any suggestions.

#234 | | Registered User | Alright, my new band needs a name. Its an Experimental/Grindcore type band with a lot of Alternative, Blues, Jazz, Classic Rock, Southern Rock/Metal, Classical, Surf Rock, Hardcore Punk, and Post-Hardcore influences.
So far, all we've been able to come up with that we're all really feeling is:
-Pistols for Pandas (in use by a for-fun rap duo in new york that probably isn't going anywhere)
-A Modest Proposal (in use by a jam band, an indie band in Germany, and a plethora of bands that haven't logged into myspace since 2007.
We still aren't decided on these, though. We like A Modest Proposal more, but since it is in use like that, even though it probably won't be a problem, we want some more ideas to choose from.
Any thoughts on those two or new suggestions?

#235 | | Registered User | I need suggestions for names for a praise and worship band. My band has decided to think of a band name now. I was thinking that Liberation or Redemption (or something along those lines) would be cool. They're sort of generic though.

| I was reading this topic and thinking of what would be a good name for a Christian band. I came up with two ideas.
Knew Born
Known Before Time
If anyone likes them, feel free to use them. |

| I myself was considering the name Pain of Separation, but it's the same as the name of an As I Lay Dying song, and the music I wrote sounds somewhat like them. I like the name, but I don't want people to think we're a tribute band of some kind. |
