pa·re·ve Audio pronunciation of "parve" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (pär-v) also par·ve (pärv)
adj. Judaism
Prepared without meat, milk, or their derivatives and therefore permissible to be eaten with both meat and dairy dishes according to dietary laws: pareve margarine.
I find it hard to imagine that you knew that off the top of your head, though.
There should be a rule that you can't use online (or offline) dictionaries.

Not enough words to be useful. Much more informative than normal dictionaries.
Really, I think looking up things in dictionaries in order to find words for Scrabble sort of defeats the purpose of the game. It moves from a word / vocabulary game to a speed-reading game.

Nate

| The only reason to have a dictionary is to check and see if a word someone puts down is really a word. It's not just to try and find a word to use. That's cheating. |

That's cheating. | If you want to challenge words that someone else has put down, you should make that public and then consult something like www.m-w.com or www.dictionary.com. I use m-w the most, even though it has a lot of pop-ups (that even get past Mozilla).
I prefer, however, a slightly different rule that requires the player challenged to provide a definition for the challenged word (without consulting a dictionary) before anyone consults the dictionary. If the definition is accepted, then you move on. If it's not, then you check the dictionary to see whether they're right.
In His love,
Nate
