| I left out something; Quote: Thankyou kindly. That's fabulous. Now could you two go PM each_other or start your own thread, so you can pollute it with your meaningless, conspirative talk? | Thankyou kindly. That's fabulous. | Megan is the grammar queen.
However, I'm pretty sure that "thank you" is perfectly acceptable. |

| This was actually brought up in class the other day, when we had to write letters expressing gratitude to the companies/people that employed us for work experience.
I'm not one hundred percent sure on this, but one is a noun, and one is two words consisting of a verb, and a pronoun.
For example:
'I would like to thank you.' -verb + pronoun.
'A thankyou note.' -noun...hang on...that might even be an adjective...:\
It sounded perfectly plausible at the time... Ahhh... |

Ex: John received a thank-you note from his friend.
"Thank you kindly" is perfectly acceptable and completely correct, since the phrase is used as a verb.
In His love,
Nate

| Thank you. My dictionary says it shouldn't be hyphenated, but I think I'm much better off listening to you.

"Thank you, Megan." vs. "A thank-you from Megan."
