I saw a trailer for this recently - it's the kind of thing that makes cynics hate Hollywood. It could possibly be fun if it's either tongue-in-cheek or visionary. But, I bet it'll just be Van Helsing II.

The idea is that Heath Ledger & Matt Damon (I believe it's those two) are the Brothers Grimm - monster-hunters who are actually con-artists. But when real fairy tales horror come to life, they're forced to kick some ass. Or something.

It looks so surreal that I will probably see it, but goodness gracious - how do they come up with this stuff?

Soon they'll be adaptating that underground comic about H.P. Lovecraft being a gun-toting ass-kicker. Then we'll get R. L. Stevenson & Son - the wise-cracking duo played by Sean Connery & Owen Wilson track down Mr. Hyde and other literary creations.

I noticed this was a Terry Gilliam film, so who knows what that means. He has had some great ones, and some bad ones. He was also a member of Monty Python.

My girlfriend is quite excited about this. I might go see it with her.

Wow! I just saw a different trailer and it mentioned those very things! The first one I saw was just a collage of images of them bursting into rooms and staring down scary things - but this trailer looked hilarious!

Matt Damon? I have a man crush on him.

Heath Ledger? He is a pretty funny/cool person.

I am excited about this movie, to say the least.

I had not heard of it until this thread. And this is still all I've heard of it. But I am already into it. I'm with Andrew. If I was a woman, I would drool over Matt Damon.

Art, I'm dissapointed.....Now, Andrew, I can see his mancrush. I do not drool over Matt Damon. Heath Ledger, however.

His real accent is so sexy.

This is just A Bugs Life with a different theme...

that said, I will probably see it.
It has a 60/40 chance of being good, in my opinion.

yeah, heath ledger. ::sigh:: although, imho, he looks better with brown hair (10 things I hate about you)

Anyway, that said, My boyfriend is all gung-ho to see it. He told me about it and I haven't actually seen a full preview, so we'll see. But yeah, heath ledger... need I say more? Oh, wait, I already did.

its looks to overall be a pretty good movie but then again there have been many movies like it before.

Yeah, it wasn't that great. I saw it with my friend and he didn't like it at all. It was kind of interesting and entertaining in a way, but that movie definitely wasn't anything wonderful.

i just watched it tonight i was disapointed it wasnt that good it was hard to follow and stuff and well it was a good movie to waste time with but ii wouldnt watch it again.
