Those commas are not necessary.

I think they should be called question fragments, because they're not sentences, but questions.

However, I do agree about all the unnecessary commas. Reading that was like being in stop-and-go™ traffic.

We're past that, move on with your life.

I use a lot of commas, it's just what I do.

J.I. Packer™ often uses excessive commas, does anyone tell him to stop writing books? (not to compare myself with Packer)
