So we had band practice for the first time this summer. To put it bluntly... it sucked. Robbie (the drummer) would just stop in the middle of every song and say he didn't want to practice today. I personally felt like I was being a complete a**hole about the whole thing. And I felt like I was being a control-freak. (Robbie play this, Tommy you're not in tune, guys you're doing it wrong.) I just think we're taking this at a pace that God doesn't want it to go at. I mean, we have a lot of talent, and we're best friends and stuff, but I think that we're trying to do things differently then what God wants us to do, and that's gonna tear us apart completely.

Please, please, please pray for all of us, that we can all solve our problems within the group and just have fun doing what we're doing.

I think all bands go through this, and someone has to be in charge. Try using "I suggest", instead of a command?, praying.

We came to the desicion to kick our drummer out yesterday after ditching us at practice, AGAIN, and then copping out on us while we tried to talk to him about the direction we were going in.

yeah man i know how it is, ive been going through the same thing... but with my band, we cant find the time to practice, and 1 person doesnt want to do it. ive talked to them about it and they didnt listen to me at all... then my bass player quit so we arent doing to good now... the onyl thing that i can tell you is what Luke 9:23 says- Jesus said "If you want to be my follower, you must set aside your selfish ambitions, carry your cross and follow me."

i think thats what i need to sharewith my band...anyway i hope that helps you
