What if the bag of chips is half-full?

What if there is no bag of chips? Hm, I feel this discussion would be better suited for philosophy. Chips or not chips, yes, this is a debate that fires up the innermost of my soul. My being, my all, is forcefully drawn to the subject of chips. The level of compassion I feel for this matter. Is, at its most, overwhelming.
