| Calling All Photographers - hobbyists, etc., on CGR . . . Didn't see a camera forum.
Who is fairly serious about photography? What equip do you use and type of photography you take?
Have a Canon Digital Rebel XT on the way along with Canon EF 135mm 2.0L lens.
Getting to use to photograph the bands playing an outdoor one-day mini-festival next weekend - Godstock Pennsylvania. HawkNelson, BytheTree (???), and Everlife are headlining.
May look to shoot weddings as well as portrait/glamour. |

May look to shoot weddings as well as portrait/glamour. | I do photography as a hobby, but I'm not going to do it as a profession. That's a totally different matter. But anyway, let's see...
I use a Canon EOS Rebel G SLR camera with a 35-80mm f/4.0-5.6 lens. It's a film camera. I usually don't do digital.
I'm more interested in doing black and white photography, ever since I learned more about it, but I do color photography also. When I had Photography I (a class at school), I used their camera, which was a Vivitar (don't remember the model - also a 35mm SLR), but this year in Photo II, i'll be using the one that I have.

| I'm getting into photography... been working on an indie DV movie for the last year and a half and finishing rough cut this weekend... now I want to get into fashion and editorial photography ... primarilly editorial to test out new actors...
I also like macro photogrphy of flowers and insects
I'm using a 35mm kit for still photography but I havn't really spent a lot of time on it yet.
Pentax K1000 with
SMC Pentax 1:2 50mm
Takumar 1:2.8 135mm
Pentax Auto-Bellows (just got it this week and it's soo much fun)
I was thinking about buying a digital camera but I don't feel comfortable with it yet...maybe if I could afford a 14Megpixel then yeah
Video camera is:
Panasonic WV-F250 dockable camcorder with studio adapter and SVHS dockable deck.
I also have an old super8 camera. I'm thinking about gtting a MOS 35mm movie camera to experiment with ultralow budget production but I need to look into it more. |

| I am serious about photography. I love it. But I seriously lack the funds to upgrade my equipment. I have a crappy 2 MP FujiFilm camara. Bleh. |

| I'm saving up for a digital camera, I should be getting it sometime soon (two weeks, maybe). I don't know much about cameras, all I know is I'm getting a 'Kodak something-something'. But it should do the trick. |
