I got halfway through Oliver Twist before I stopped myself and asked, "Why am I torturing myself like this?" |

| Virgil's Aeneid was painful for me.
But at least I finished it, this summer I have started 4 books and just now finished two of them. |

| Two good examples:
1) the lord of the rings (sorry folks), I have a copy of the whole thing (I know it's not a "trilogy") sitting on my bookshelf with only the first 20 or so pages read of the first book. Just couldn't get into it.
2) Geoffery Chaucer's A Canterbury Tale. While the themes are interesting (as is the satire) I can't stand his style. |

| Where do I begin? The Histories by Herodotus, St. Augustine's Confessions, For Whom The Bell Tolls, History of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides, Plato's Republic, The Aeneid by Virgil, and another book that I started to read recently and then quit. In fact, the only book that I finished from that list was For Whom The Bell Tolls.

| I didn't even make it through the first paragraph of The Red Badge of Courage. I aced the essay on it, though. |

| Nonfiction bores me in general. The Once and Future King bored me to tears. The War of the Worlds was interesting in parts but I liked the movie better. Books like the great Gatsby and a seperate piece that I read in school were also boring.

| "The Historical Aspects of Organic Chemistry" was so boring I could not finish it, it is the only book I have never finished. For those of you who have taken Organic Chemistry, and know that is a challenging course, I tell you, this book was nine thousand times over, the worst, and most boring book I have ever looked at, I mean the title itself gives you a headache. |

| red badge of courage, ugh.
You can't really call "great expectations" boring, when you compare it with oliver twist, or tale of two cities.
What a snoozeathon that was. |

#28 | | i'm awesome! | war of the world, the time machine, and the invisible man. i dont know why i read those h.g. wells books. 20,000 leagues under the sea is a good one to read if you want to fall asleep. i've read patriot games, and net force, both by tom clancy, and they were good. LOTR was good. the hobbit was odd...

#29 | | (or 3+4=7) | Well, Anne of green Gables, Tom sawyer and treasure island never engaged me much.
Although i found Silmarrialian and Left Behind series, I could never find the time to get through them...
Started them both over a year ago, never got past the third chapter on both.
I dont read all that much, im a good reader, i just can never find more then 30mins or so a day. Between CGR, video games, school, and church, i just cant find much time. I dunno, i prolly can, i just am too lazy to engage my brain! |
