And then there's an episode where Lisa leaves the church and becomes a Buddhist. That's definitely not kosher.

SAME SEX EPISODE NOW!

I like the serious disclaimer. They should've had a disclaimer for it being a half hour of no laughs.

Yeah, what's been wrong with the writers lately? The old ones are non stop laughs for my parents and myself... Now these new ones get a few chuckles from my parents and a few more from me... Just not as funny .

It's very dissapointing for their last season. But, what can you expect really from a sitcom that has been around for like...15 years or something.

Well...MOST sitcoms would've just had mercy and pulled the plug on themselves...

I know i'm pushing it, reviving this, it just seems weird to start a new Simpsons thread only to complain about the new episodes.

I just wanted to say that I watched the new episode a few days ago. I chuckled at the beginning of the episode when Homer is running around naked (wasn't even that funny, it was like Family Guy humor) and then I didn't laugh ONCE for the rest of the episode! I couldn't believe how unfunny it was! I'm a huge Simpson's fan, but this is getting ridiculous, the show hasn't just 'lost quality' it has no quality left.
It's sad.

I still enjoy The Simpsons (meaning I still chuckle at a lot of stuff), but stopping at season 13 (or earlier, I'm just "spitballing" a year) would be ideal. No one seems to disagree there.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".
