| A New Chipmunk Journal
So, I decided to start a new journal. Why? Two reasons.
1) EXTREME amounts of boredom. Please please please help me be entertained.
2) It MIGHT help me win the current contest. Maybe. LOL YEAH RIGHT.
Most journals start with a paragraph or two describing the owner of it. I won't be doing that. Instead, you get maybe a sentence or two. Ready? I play guitar and I'm not in a band right now. Also, I enjoy competitive and classic video games. That's all you're getting for now.
Okay, fine. I lied. Here's more... My life is currently boring. I have no job. I've been unemployed for almost eight months. The job market is currently crap around here. I have an opportunity with Best Buy right now that I am praying pans out. I can't live off of unemployment forever, sadly enough. I am 23. I just moved into a new apartment with some new roommates. I usually have terrible insomnia until about 4 or 5 AM. I have a wonderful girlfriend named Lindsay who is also 23. We've been together almost nine months. She's beyond amazing, incredibly supportive, and I love her more than words exist to describe how much I love her. I find strange things funny. /fin/
EDIT: To Journals Mods, S-Mods, and Admins:
My username gets changed pretty frequently. Its really funny. What isn't funny is when my journal gets moved out of R and now suddenly everyone (myself included) has to find it again. My name changes are not permanent and do not generally last more than a week, so you'd just have to move it back later anyway. Save yourself some work and leave my journal in R. Thanks.

| Just curious, what was wrong with just continuing in your old journal?

| Nice new digs.
What games are you currently playing? Any upcoming titles that are catching your eye?
And good luck on the job hunt!

| I like the new pad you got here. Sometimes you can get by with some fresh paint and other times it requires a re-model.
I'm glad to see that everything seems to be going alright besides the job hunting. The job market is pretty much crap everywhere.

I'm doing an alternative rock project and a progressive metal project. I'm never trying out for bands again though. I'm only doing my own thing from now on and maintaining control over my projects. I'm so sick of being in bands with people that don't look at music the same way I do. I'm setting up a recording rig in my new place so there will be some new stuff from me soon. Quote:

I've changed a lot since I closed my last journal, so I figured it would be better just to go with a fresh journal. You know. To keep it fresh. Quote:

And good luck on the job hunt! | Thanks man. I'm currently playing TMNT 4: Turtles in Time for the SNES. I'm also playing Defcon, and my new roommate and I are running through Diablo II. I'm playing a Summon necro and he's playing a Poison/Bone necro. Quote:

I'm glad to see that everything seems to be going alright besides the job hunting. The job market is pretty much crap everywhere. | The job market is retarded right now. Completely retarded. A LOT of places put up help-wanted signs around here though. I'm going to hit up the smaller stores before the large chains to hopefully avoid the hassle of large store hiring practices, like online applications and forty five minute personality tests. Plus the necessity of having to rearrange my schedule to accommodate a drug test. Yeah. No thanks. If thats what it comes down to, then whatever, but I find that stuff to be a waste of everyone's time. I have enough management experience to know that just because someone looks like a good employee on paper doesn't mean they are a good employee. |

| Eric, I am too lazy to read previous posts. Did you mention that you are partial proprietor of home made amplifiers under the name Necropolis Amplification working on the ND1 specs? I doubt it cuz you're a wanna be haberdasher. |

Now I will.
EVERYONE! Ax and I are designing a guitar amp line and we're going to start making them to order very very soon.
My girlfriend borrowed the movie Major League from her library for us to watch and the disc was scratched to the point that it doesn't play. Is that super lame or what? |

| Pretty please don't comment my journal (or try to start a conversation, for that matter) in User Comments unless it would absolutely count as a cheap post and doesn't need a reply. You're passing up a free post onto your post count and it effectively kills the conversation, because I'm not going to go through the hassle reply to you. At all. That's right. I'm not going to PM you, start a reply thread in CPF, or put a reply post here. Except for this ONE time (or unless I ABSOLUTELY feel like it, which you should probably count on happening so rarely the chance is negligible).
Jer, there's nothing happening with it right now that wouldn't be posted either in this thread or in a thread in CGR member bands. Stay tuned in those places. I'm not going to just PM one person when I can very easily tell all of CGR in one fell swoop.
Today I get to finish moving. My girlfriend is over right now because she was going to help me finish today, but now she feels sick in her stomach. I absolutely have to be done today, because I have to be out of my old place by noon tomorrow or they are going to charge me. I hate the management of my old place. Like, I pretty much abhor them to the point where if I were any more criminally minded than I am I'd set their office on fire. Our air conditioner broke at least once a month, they woke me up with pointless phone calls and maintenance invasions (yes, invasions that weren't even for necessary or agreed upon repairs and no notice was given), and thought that landscaping once a week with power tools directly outside my window at 8 AM was a brilliant idea. They made up a bogus charge, never notified me about it, tried to collect on it, and now are planning on taking it out of my security deposit (if they do, I fully intend on taking them to court once I can afford it). I gave them a notice that they need to start following their responsibilities under the law, citing the very sections and subsections of the Florida Statutes that they have been violating, and not enter at will or call me before a certain time, which they completely ignored. Also, the hot tub broke in December and its still broken. Not like I care now, but still. Its nice to finally be getting out of there, even though I'll miss my roommates.
When I'm done moving my things, I intend on turning all of the furniture around so that its inaccessible. The room came with (very crappy) furniture, and those jerks up at the office are going to have to undo everything I did before the new person can move in. They might even just leave it as is, which might be more ideal, because it might cause the new guy to also hate management for not fixing it before he moved in.
Thus begins my day. |

I might be buying a drumkit in a few weeks, and I live with a really talented bassist now, so chances are once I get my recording rig up and running there's going to be some amazing stuff for you to listen to. Quote:

Think a Bogner Fish preamp through a Marshall JCM900 power section with a few choice mods. Now imagine a crap-ton of really awesome extra features that we're designing (but not revealing yet because we are unsure if we will be able to do them or not), and imagine it looking incredibly awesome. That's what we're building. CGR will most assuredly be updated once we successfully prototype so you, Jon, can place your order (you know you will). Also, once we finalize our plans and decide on a definite feature set we'll be more willing to talk about it and spread some hype.
I am now completely moved out of my old place. The brand new desk that a maintenance guy put together right in front of me is completely screwed. It will not last. It is that maintenance guy's fault, and they are going to try and charge me for it. I am so glad to be out of there and in a place with my own furniture and really badass roommates so I don't have to deal with this crap anymore. I'm a little irritated right now for no good reason because thats just how life is these days.
At this moment my new room is full of boxes and I'm taking a break to sit down and post this while my girlfriend helps me start organizing, so I'm going to start some tunes and get busy. Dethalbum time. |
