| The Star Spangled Banner... ... is way too hard to sing. I think we either need to change the tune, or pick another national anthem that a normal person can sing.
Also, what the heck are "ramparts"?

| Rampart "1. A fortification consisting of an embankment, often with a parapet built on top."

| We must never change our national anthem. That is the story of the birth of this nation. That is our history. The song describes a decisive battle. It explains the importance of our flag.
Who's flag was there? Who did this country belong to? Does that flag still wave?
Over the land of the free and the home of the brave. That is us. It's who we are. It's who we must remain.
Perhaps it means so much to me because I know that it could be lost. If there was no USA, what would the world do? Where would anyone ever be able to go to be free? Where would they be able to go to start from nothing and become successful? Without the USA, there would be no hope. We must hold onto it.
Yes! Yes! That Star Spangled Banner does still wave!
Over the land of the free. We are free.
And the home, our home. We are very blessed.
Of the brave. Our forefathers were very brave. They fought for the right of freedom. We, too, are the brave. We will fight to the death for the sake of freedom also.
Learn the song. Sing it with lower notes.

| I don't understand why people do not love their country. Unless you are Canadian, Chris. This USA hate is exactly what will cause you all to lose everything.

| "That is the story of the birth of this nation."
Actually it is a little too late for that, it is about the first war we fought for years and didn't gain anything from.

| Really?
I heard that we almost lost our country over that battle.
I only pay 1/2 attention.
It does not matter in this context. The point still is that the song is about our history and everything that this country stands for.

| Chris is Canadian, by the way. Does Canadia even have a national anthem?

| Well that "battle" was really us sitting in a fort while the British spent the whole night bombarding us from their ships, while we prayed that the fort wasn't blown to heck and back. I don't recall if we actually sank any British vessels or not, if memory serves our cannons were smaller and we couldn't reach the British ships. In the morning the British figured the fort wasn't going to be taken by bombardment and sailed off.
