Bill C-38 Passes in the House

A bold day for Canada , and a day which was long past due, in my opinion. I'm glad the MPs decided to sit an extra few days to get this legislation through... the government hasn't done a heck of a lot since November.

Well, I guess it's only a matter of time now before the Canadian society crumbles into dust. Probably a matter of days, if conservative Christians are to be believed.

Even better, look at this:
Stephen Harper under fire for comment on Bloc support of same-sex marriage

Slightly worse than the average faux pas.

Don't you know that Paul Martin is the antichrist. I mean, all the prophecies point to it.

But seriously, it is not like this bill makes any difference. Most of the provinces are already allowing same sex couples to marry.

Of course it matters. It means the countrys leaders are now going to die much more horrible deaths than before.

Maybe so, but to the general public it doesn't change much.

True; Canadians are pretty much screwed already. They aren't even American.

Why is a bad thing? From the perspective of a secular society (which Canada is), what makes it bad?

Are you a secularist or a Christian? Do you have your own opinions, or are you just going to go with whatever your culture is feeling at the moment?

Your interpretation of Christianity being that instead of marrying gays, the state of Canada should stone them to death ... correct?

You know very well my position. If you want to make sure that other people know it, you could just tell them.
