Uno variations

I stumbled across an interesting version of Uno a few months ago. Imagine house rules to the extreme and then take it to the next level.

It is called Hot Death Uno (run a search on it, you'll find it)

It is played with 2 decks of Uno cards with about 30 or so modified cards. The Game is played to 1000 points. Stacking draws is legal in this game (only draw 2s with draw 2s and draw 4s with draw 4s) but here is where it gets interesting. Some of the modified cards include the Hot Death (draw 8) Delayed Blast (this card skips a person and the next person draws 4) Spreaders (they're like draw 2s, everyone but the attacker draws 2) Double Skips (skips 2 people) Reverse Skip (reverses direction and skips the first person it goes back to)

But those are just the tame cards... They also have Quitters (lay that down and the next person is out of that round and takes the points for his/her hand) they also have an array of defensive cards to block such attacks, like Retailation (sends the attack back to the attacker)

There are some that I am still trying to figure out the benefit of them being in the game at all. just check out the rules and see if you can figure them out. Otherwise, they would just be the last card you'll ever want to get dealt.

After playing a few rounds of this, my friends and I came up with a few more cards. When you get a new deck, they usually include 4 blank cards. We took those cards and made them a sort of wild card. Say RED is the current color being played and you have a BLANK GREEN, play that, the color changes to green and the next player MUST MUST MUST!!! lay a green number card (not skip, draw 2, reverse, or even a wild) if they can not lay a green number card, they must draw 2, and every person after that must do the same until a green number is played. Once the green number is played, the game picks up as usual. that card is worth 10 points at the end of the hand.
