On the comment of being against anti-flag burning law. Burning the American flag out of hatred for this country besides being disrespectful(and that applies to the burning of any nation's flag) is unAmerican and unpatriotic. It is abusing the symbol of the freedom that America is given.

Firstly: So what? Why should we legally mandate respectful patriotism?
Secondly: I think putting nurse's uniforms on statues of soldiers is disrepectful and unpatriotic. When will we get that ammendment? How many thousands would you like to make?
We could just make a general one that lets us jail people indefinately for being "unpatriotic". That would work. Heavens know it worked for Stalin. It's working right now for China. I believe Saddam did something similar as well, and I know the Nazis did.
BTW, what do you think of the patriotism of the founding fathers? They rebelled.

To me the student database sounds like something intended to help protect our citizens. the only people who have any reason to be against this or the issues you stated must, except draft, are those who have given a reason by breaking the law or participated in related acts. I don't see any threat as long as KGB agents don't show up at my door, and I don't think this is a Big Brother threat.

Why wouldn't they show up at your door? Your religious beliefs mean that your patriotic nationalism may be compramised by an alligence to a religious doctorine. We should install cameras in your home (what do you have to worry about? You are not breaking the law are you?).
Of coruse, perhaps I have it backwards. Perhaps the government will decide you are not religious enough, and are attending the wrong denominations church. Perhaps we should put your children in a house with more "right-thinking", you haven't, afterall, baught your quota of flags yet.
