Pet Insurance

Does anyone have insurance for their pet? I have just started researching the cost effectiveness of veterinary bills and vaccinations versus having an insurance provider.

we looked into pet insurance, but for domestic cats it just didn't make sense. If it were a purebred of some sort maybe, but otherwise the math just didn't add up.

I have a 1 1/2 year old yellow lab name Maggie. She was born with hip dysplasia, but at the time we purchased pet insurance we did not know it. We have pet insurance from pet care. They covered abour $5,000.00 for her hips for be fixed. It was such a blessing to have pet insurance. I do not know how we could have afford it otherwise.
