The bible talks specifically about witchcraft/similar and condemns those who practice it. However, the bible does not say that your salvation rests on what type of entertainment you enjoy.

I simply do not like Harry Potter because of the combination of appeal to young children and of the 'magic' in it. It could cause curiousity in children, and later, it could cause them to look into the *real* stuff- new age movement, wicca, etc...

However, reading and enjoying the books for the fiction that they are isn't inherantly sinful.

I belung to Zion independant Baptist church and my pastor told me about this after church on Sonday. He says that all people who claim to be Cristians who like Hary Pottter arent real christians and arent gunna be raptured. We have a basement that can hold over 200 people for when we get ataked by the One world govermant and he says that we are God's people because we don't read worldly things and demonic litature by pagans.

I don't like Harry Potter. BUT thinking Harry Potter is right or wrong doesn't determine your eternity! All God requires is for us to Believe that he sent his son to die on the cross for us to pay for our sins.
