Yeah, I cheated. I downloaded the karaoke track from rhapsody and then just blared it in the back ground while I sang loudly into my amp. Not a bad mix for a crappy computer mic, eh? *grin*

You're a mighty good songwriter, man! Not to mention funny... I love you, you're awesome!

Make a song about someone struggling to learn how to play guitar, his fingers hurting, he doesn't know how to do his hammer ons, bends, slides etc and he's really depressed. Then he comes to CGR where some freinds help him, and then suddenly (like magic) he can play like a pro.

Make it so that it sounds like you're struggling to play the song, and when the guy gets better, you play as good as you've shown you can.

Just make a stupid song about learning to play guitar
Thanks man! I'll put that on the list!

Alright, I've decided to request one.

I don't care what it's about (funny/serious/stupid... whatever). It's up to you.

Mrs. D. and I got an awesome Mothers' Day gift! Donnie finished a song he had started a year ago.

CGR Moms

Mara's Mom has got it goin' on
Taylor's Mom has got it goin' on, oh yeah
CGR Moms have got it goin' on

Mara can I come over and post in your mom's thread
Can we laugh and tell jokes in the CPF
Can I claim her as my E-Mom (not, not the Holy kind)
I know you know this, but when it comes to moms she's the E-Bomb

'Cause Mara's Mom has got it goin' on
She's what this message board needed all along
Can't you see, she's spiritually drawn
It makes me kind of jealous, 'cause in real life, she's Mara's Mom

Taylor can your mom post in my blog
The mom-looks that she gives could scare Magog
She's so thoughtful and kind when anyone's around
Serving cookies and homemade punch to the cool crowd

'Cause Taylor's Mom has got it goin' on
She reminds me of June Cleaver, but I'm not sure if she's blonde
She's the voice of reason in everybody’s blog
Everybody loves her, she's Taylor's Mom

that was my thought after Chris played the song. Isn't your mom the longest "mom" member...?

Very simple explanation - the songs were written by request.

I think I'd like to keep this thread stickied as an easy point of reference to get to all the songs.

So, how about CPF blues? I wrote it, and GG7 recorded it.
