| The Very Official Ask Mara Thread Go ahead and ask.
Ok I will start.
Mara,
What the heck is a Trogdor and why does it go around burninating villages and nOObs?
Thanks,
Geezer nOOb

| Ahem. Donnie, you are my hero. Officially.
Dear Geezer Dude,
A Trogdor... I think I saw one of those on Homestar. It's a big monster dragon dinosaur thing that likes to burn things for no apparent reason. I'm pretty sure it's his way of taking all his angst out on those that he is frusterated with due to their ignorance, thus burninating n00bs. The villiages are probably full of the n00bs, so he gets more done when he burninates those.
Dear anonymous,
You might go ask someone a little more educated about the buying of a Trogdor.

| Dear mara,
I'm a n00b. Why would you burn me? And how can I not be a n00b. You must have been a n00b at some point in time. right?

| Dear Confused,
I wouldn't burn you, but Trogdor might. I was a n00b, and I still am to some extent. Basically, just get in on all the inside jokes and figure out what everyone is talking about. post in lots of blogs, type in full sentences, try to spell correctly, capitalize your words, and then you'll earn the respect of many CGRers which are higher on the Christian Guitar Food Chain, which I will map out for you, if you would like. Once you earn their respect, you will likely become a little less n00bish than you were. |

I love your avatar. Where did you get it, and how can I go about getting a similarly witty slogan to slap in my signature?
Thanks,
Your Friendly Neighborhood PFOD

| Dear PFOD,
I made my avatar all by my lonesome. I will make you one if you'd like me to. But I need to know what you want it to say. |

| Dear Mara,
What is the purpose of an Andrew and why does this board have to have one?

I am at a loss for a funny. Maybe someone could come up with a funny for me and I could promote their funny for them?
Ooooh, oooh, I know! Something about Arty the Trogdor and myself burninating the n00bs.
But I am not terribly picky. Any funny is a good funny.
Sincerely,
FPOD

| Dear Mara,
Why do the camels and flamingo's segregate amongst themselves, well Barney the big purple dinosoar, is ---for lack of a stellar action verb--- soaring?

| Dear M.D.,
Good idea. I'll consider that.
Dear T.O.C.N.,
Segregate. Good word. I like that word. The answer to your question is, very simply, because God put flamingos, camels, and purple inosairs in their own special place so that the flamingos wouldn't bite Barney's toes off. I hear that it's really hard to balance yourself without toes. A guy from our church knew a lady who got all the toes on one of her feet cut off by a lawnmower, and then for like, 6 months or something she had to have physical therapy and she had to totally re-learn how to walk. Pretty weird. Anyway, I hope that answers your question. |

| Dear Mara,
I would very much like to see a diagram of the CGR food chain. I'd probably be somewhere near the bottom, but whatever.

Sure. Friends are cool. I'll buddy-listify you in a sec.
Dear Curious,
I'll map it out tomorrow. Maybe. If I have time. We'll see |
