| Watermelon and Salt Do you eat your watermelon with salt? Are you ostracized, criticized, or scorned for it? Do you know of others who put salt on their watermelon? If you do not eat your watermelon with salt, how do you eat it? Plain? Crushed? Cubed? Warm? In cereal? Do you eat the black seeds, spit them out, or pick them out? Ah, but now we are getting off topic. What are your opinions of salt and watermelon together?

| you are a strange being. And have very many questions about watermelon...
no. I do not put salt on watermelon. I've seen that done with cantelope, but that's it. I've never even seen anyone put salt on watermelon.
as for how I eat it? Preferably cubed... but I'll eat it sliced... warm?!? ewwww... I may actually try it in cereal, just 'cause I'm suggestive...

| Yes. It's actually a pretty common thing down here. Quote: |

| With my mouth. ??? Yes. After I chew it, yes. Are you kidding? You'd have to freeze a watermelon to be able to cube it without killing it. Wouldn't you? If by "warm" you mean "not cold." I'm not as suggestive as Dana, whatever that means. Quote: |

(Besides "None of the above,")? I'm pretty sure most people either eat the seeds, spit them out, or pick them out first.

If there are only very few seeds, I will eat them. If there are slightly more seeds, I will spit them out. If there are many seeds, I will pick them out.

| My grandfather used to eat watermelon with salt.
It was... interesting. He also had pepper on his cantaloupe.
As for myself, I do not partake of such a thing as the watermelon. The only form I consume watermelon is watermelon rind juice. If you have never had this, I envy you *stare* |

| I came upon this topic and we had a very long conversation about putting salt on watermelon when I was in Germany so this topic made me think of Germany and it made my day and this is the longest sentense ever.
Anyways, no, I typically don't put salt on my watermelon. I don't think the sweetness on a melon and salt mixes well but a lot of ppl do it where I live. |

| I have heard about this combination and it sickens me. I do eat cantalope and salt, though. That is really good. |
