Ceramic Café

Has anyone been out to this before? If you hadn't heard of it, it's this, well, café, where you pick out a ceramic piece, paint it, and have it [however ceramic pieces are finished] there.

I've been twice in the past couple of years, and will probably be back soon, seeing as they're opening a new one near my house. The first time, I painted this fish, which is hardly worth comment, and the second time it was a little round box, which turned out well enough but ended up being part of the memorial for my cat: I'll probably post a picture of the latter when I can. I can't really say anything for the quality of it, as I don't know how much of it is the setting/materials and how much is my lack of painting skill, but it's so relaxing.

Yeah, yeah! I've done something along this vein before... on vacation in Oregon, I went to this same kind of place. I painted a mask (you know, like the happy-sad face "theatre" masks... except they didn't have any happy faecs) in darker tones... I was surprised, for my first time it came out very well, IMO. I'd post a picture but I don't have a digital camera... and it's packed in a box somewhere. It was a lot of fun, though, I spent like 4 hours there working on it.
