| Spore The next biggest thing since Sims, apparently
I'm a little wary--it reminds me of the hype before The Sims...a lot of revolutionary ideas boiled down to a game that was barely a game. Plus, I don't know if it's good to have yet another game that espouses that devil religion, evolution, no matter how fun it is. |

| The idea sounds cool, but The Sims is one of the top 5 dumbest games I've ever played so I'm weary hearing any sort of connection to it at all. |

| Hmm...interesting concepts. However, I haven't pulled out my copy of The Sims in years so I doubt I'll fork over money for this game anytime soon.

| If it's pulled off right, then I think it could be quite interesting. However, as stated, The Sims is one of the lamest excuses for a game EVER. (If you can call it a game...)

#5 | | Cool enough Administrator | I was completely uninterested until I read the article. Now, I am mildly interested. Could be a huge flop or a massive success. I'll be watching this one. |

| There are two videos you need to check out if you are interested in this game. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...094003&q=spore http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHaulHxmO4A
The first video is a presentation given by Will Wright (the creator of the Sims and Spore) showing off his new toy. It looks a lot of fun, until it gets to the end, where it seems a little free-form and uninteresting. I'd imagine that EA will implement some kind of goal structure, much like they did for later versions of The Sims.
The second video is a "leaked and uncut" video that will be shown at E3, apparently. Although, it stinks of guerrilla advertising to me, it's still interesting to see how the game is developing.
Anyway, I'm undecided about this game. It could be the coolest game since WoW, or it could be the lamest thing since Daikatana. |

| Personally, I'm under the influence that this is one of the most brilliant ideas in years. Looking forward to see how it turns out. |

| I could have sworn there was a more recent thread about this, but oh well.
Anybody got the creature creator? |

#9 | | Red Sox Rocker | It's really...been in hype for a long time. So that's why I'm wary. But it looks rather good.

That's one heck of a bat belt that Link has there. Link advances." (From the Video Game Showdown) |

| I was going to pick it up, but after reading about the DRM I'm going to skip on it. Chrono Trigger is coming out for the DS soon and that will sustain me for quite a while. |

| This really doesn't look appealing to me at all. I wonder how it'll do.
