Wow... As usual, the internets are ridiculous.

The DRM doesn't bother me that much... And it wouldn't bother the average consumer, because only installing it on PC is exactly what I want to do.

However, apparently EA fails to comprehend that the gamer is NOT the average consumer...

Well having only 3 installs is kinda limited, and then you have to call customer support which may not be around 5-10 years from now (i still play Sim City so stuff like this is important to me!)... and the funny thing is that it did nothing to stop piracy because the pirated version was up on bittorrent within a week after its release.

But, whatever I wasn't really that interested in this game, i just thought it was hilarious how the internets have responded

It doesn't bother me in the way that I probably wouldn't put it on more then three computers, but it bothers me that it is there. If I pay money for a program, I want to not have any stupid restrictions.
I have been waiting for this game for over three years and now I refuse to buy it for that very reason.
EA doesn't seem to think that's a big deal, comparing it to iTunes, which is stupid as the DRM is a big reason lots of people I know, as well as myself, don't buy music from iTunes.

From interviews I have read from EA they seem to really, really miss the point here.

So, to bring up a super old thread.
I finally got around to playing this game...I stuck by my refusal to buy it, but a buddy of mine got bored and gave it to me.

I played it for a few hours, but by the time I got to the Tribe part I got bored with it. My brother picked it up and did the exact same thing.
Anybody else do this as well? Is it worth it to stick it out?

Got to the space stage, and unless it improved in the later parts of the space stage, it just doesn't live up to the hype.
