I haven't played much with Flying Vs, but I'd assume they're top heavy like SGs. With a strap, just move the position of the strap on your shoulder where the neck is up. When you're sitting, I assume you have to hold it like a classical guitar. Rest the guitar on your left leg with the end against the inside of your right leg (if you're a right-handed player).

ya like holding the neck so it's pointing down, so you can't play worth a durn? I must disagree.

Hahaha. Well nonconformity is all fine and dandy, but with guitar playing, the accepted way of playing is the best way, not a trend. Although I'm all for experimental guitar playing.

well i like to have my guitar close to me not down by my... belt, but it really hard with the v becuase it likes to pull the strap down causing the cheap 5 dollar strap to dig into my neck, while its moving down.... ok well thanx anyways o guess il just have to hold the neck when i play. I have the sitting down method mastered but just not standing ohwell

Yeah, you basically have to always hold the neck while playing with a neck-heavy guitar. And I think a bit more of a comfortable strap might help also.

My V Does that too when i play with a strap. Whenever i am not playing, i just rest my hand on the upper horn, near where the back part of the strap comes down, that usualy ballences it out.

you can try sticking some weight in the electronics compartment. That might balance it out, or at least help. penny wrappers should do the job.

Flyin' Vs are cool lookin and all but i would never buy one... those things are the most awkward guitars i have ever held... except for this one trailer trash model... shapped like a trailer home...

Hold it whichever way is comfortable for you... as long as you are able to play your guitar to the best of your ability.

Who cares about 'trends' and what's 'normal.'
