Cannibal Holocaust (which is banned in the U.S.) is the most disturbing movie period. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

You've seen it? I've only heard horrible things about it.

oh, I'll add my own to the list: Scary movie. We only watched an hour or so and then found ourselves too disgusted to watch the rest (so we turned it off and watched some CSI)

I wanna see Closer. I've heard bad and good things about it. It's a Nichols film so it musn't be that bad.

it's essentially about sex and infidelity. I don't even remember why I was interested in watching it...

It's terrible in a very great way. It was pretty well done; it manipulated my emotions perfectly. I felt disgusted and degraded as I was leaving the theatre, which was exactly how I was supposed to feel. It definitely made a powerful statement about infidelity and whatnot.

And you'll never think of Natalie Portman as a cute, innocent girl ever, ever again.

I can think of Natalie as sweet and innocent again. I've watched Garden State about a million times to cleanse my mind.

I heard a rumor that actual human cadavors were used in the making of the film. I don't know if that's true or not, but either way, it's ridiculous. I remember there was some hole in the wall video store in town that had a copy, but I was never captivated enough to check it out. Something happened to it; probably something bad.

Yeah, I heard that too. And there's an uncut version with actual executions of children...or so I've heard. But I doubt it.

According to IMDB:

Quote:
The in-film-documentary "The Last Road To Hell", which features several executions, consists of authentic footage. Supposedly from Uganda. "The Last Road To Hell"-footage can only be seen completely uncut in the EC-UltraBit DVD (which includes executions of children).
