MySpace is absolutely ridiculous. And what's with the requirement to be older than eighteen to register? Has the COPPA age requirement gone up or something?

the age requirement is 16 which i just turned last monday.

Well, the fact that most of the pictures of girls involve them posing "sexy" could be part of it....or it could be that girls like to post pictures of their *buttocks* ....or it could be that porn sites regularly attack the site and start accounts with blatantly pornographic images.....but you're right. The site is absolutely ridiculous.

it is ridiculous, i agree-- but it's like e-crack. i had a hit one day, and now i can't stop.

I have not seen the blatant porn...but I don't care to. I've seen enough of myspace to realize that half of the site is girls showing off their body, the other half of the site is guys trying to interest said girls.

And the thing is, it could have worked out kind of well. It could have taken Xanga's communal vibe to things to the next level...and certainly have eradicated the "blog" label and been much more website-esque at the same time. It just attracted the totally wrong crowd.

Yep. In theory, myspace should be awsome. Instead its just kind of creepy.
