Master Keaggy

June 28, 2011

Guitar maestro Phil Keaggy is featured on the cover of the current issue of Christian Musician Magazine with an in-depth interview where the “Gospel Music Hall of Famer” discusses his recent 60th birthday, his most recent musical endeavors, including his current project with the Phil Keaggy Trio, Inter-Dimensional Traveler, and what comes next for this prolific singer/songwriter.

In the interview, by Christian Musician editor Bruce Adolph, Keaggy shares his musical focus for the coming year, his feelings about end times, and what you'll find in his gig emergency kit. The feature also includes numerous photos from Keaggy's music career, which spans 40+ years.

Saw & met Phil Keaggy a couple of weeks ago at the Back to the Blues Festival in Chilliwack BC
Saw eight acts that day--with Phil & the Glenn Kaiser Band, plus Phil jamming with the GKB as the highlight...

My favorite concert ever.

I remember Glenn Kaiser from WAY back in the day when he was with the Resurrection Band. I saw them three times. One concert I was at was when they were taping the Bootleg album. Steve Taylor (of I Want to Be a Clone fame) opened for them. At another concert, the Swedish Christian rock band Jerusalem opened for them.

I've seen Phil Keaggy, too, but that was back in the late '80's.

Hello frends
Phil Keaggy is an excellent all-around guitarist who has been a part of the CCM scene for over two decades. The Master & the Musician is Phil's first instrumental .
