Can you give any hints/tips on uplaoding sound bytes? What kind of recording program are you using, (Windows Sound Recorder?) Also how do you take a CD recording and post just the sections you want? Full Mpg songs are too big! Help!

ID-the drumming was solid (im critiquing 3 and 4), but needed variation. The fills were repetitive. The beats were good, but you might want to change it around when you switch to the ride or the bell to accent the transition more. Also, when you switch, change the style of fills, too.

spudd-i couldnt hear a thing with those maniacs screaming.

ill eventually record a clip, but I need to make a song in my head first;)

Hehe, I should have mentioned that....yeah, during the actual song my drumming really can't be heard..lol. :)

donny... when i recorded that.. i was sick at the time.. so my druming was a little off... and i couldn't get complex fills and still stay on beat.. sooooo... yeah.:ksmile:

not too bad though ID. A suggestion would be to listen to a little progressive rock (Dream Theater, Tool, Chevelle kind of in a couple of songs). That stretches your mind as far as applying different time signatures and beats.

ooooh i do odd time sigs lots... except when the guitarist is playing in 4/4.... you can't do a 15/8 or it just don't line up...

im mad now..

i just spent multiple hours tryijng to record on my crappy pc (not this one, another one) and it wouldnt work.... GRRRRR

I recorded 3 separate 10 minute solos (they are all made up on the spot), and all three froze after recording..

Insane Drummer 07-21-2002 04:28 PM

hmmmmm recording something that long mighta cause a memory error...... i recored a solo... but it did't record well at all.. so oh well

+Donny 07-21-2002 04:32 PM

why would it cause an error?
