this is a great cd! i gave it a nine because of the weird prologue that is the first track. otherwise it is about perfect. just the song "Under Bridges" puts it up to a 5 by itself

This is a phenomenal example of the talent that's in Five Iron, and how they're definately more than a one trick pony. This is some really great music. Emo-laced space rock... I like it. :D

I gave it a nine, which means that it is one of my favorite CDs, just not one my elite favorite albums.

Brave Saint Saturn is really in a genre all on its own, Reece and company are some of the most talented and original artists in the Christian (or secular for that matter) industry. My favorite songs are

Space Robot 5 (of course)
The moon is burning bright (I'm not sure if that is the actual name)
Under Bridges
Fireworks
oh heck, I'll just name them all in order that I like them
Rocketown
Resistor
Gloria
229
Independence day
Shadow of def

And I love all of them, even the ones on the bottom.

This cd, is one of the greatest cds I own, I have loved it since the first time it spun in my cd player...
If you think Reese Roper is great as a part of FIF you will love what he does with this side project, it's what he calls the darker side of FIF...

Fav Songs:
Resistor
Space Robot 5
Shadow Of Def
Under Bridges

It's awesome because you can listen to it while in just about any mood. It's not like a few CDs that are only good sometimes, this is ALWAYS good. Lyricaly it's a lot like Five Iron Frenzy's FIF2:EB, it also uses a lot of guitars, like FIF2:EB.

I bought this CD for 2 songs, under bridges and gloria. I'd heard them on the radio and I thought they were beautiful. I listened to the whole thing and thought, "what the heck is this??? this is a strange musical style they got going here, I'm not sure if I like this" Strangest thing about this CD though is how it grows on you. The bizare music you eventually come to realize isn't bad, it's just different, and you start focusing on the lyrics and you just go WOW. I nearly cry almost everytime I hear this CD. I was going through a kind of difficult time when I got it, feeling really low and like I really didn't matter to anything. Real lonely like. so Space Robot 5 and Resistor really hit me hard. Under Bridges is still my favorite song here, and I have never ever heard a band hit Jesus' character so right on. "Whatever you do for the very least of my bretheren, you've done it unto me". Absolutely beautiful and introspective. I gave this CD a 9 only because I've got to ask, what is up with "the shadow of def"??? The pseudo rap thingy has got to go!

blasphemy. it is hilarious. it is a total parody of 80's rap. i don't care if you don't like rap, it is clever and and cheesy and funny. :)

Narrative Music

The weird prologue thing is the beginning of a story that BS2 continues in The Light of Things Hoped For (which might just be my favorite CD). I have to admit that they don't pull the narrative off quite as well on this disc, but it's still relevant in connection with the songs. Weird? I would prefer to say artistic and refreshingly different.

Under Bridges is, of course, and amazing song. as I was in downtown Nashville talking to the homeless, I could not get those lyrics out of my head. I also really, really like Moon Burns Bright and Gloria. Once again, the guys from FIF have managed to capture much of what is in my own heart that I didn't know how to express. I gave it a 9 because I don't think it's quite as strong as The Light of Things Hoped For, but in the grand spectrum of music, this one's right there at the top.

I understand that, i just don't like that track and don't like listening to it, so i generally skip it.

Listinining to cd for the first time today...and I must say, its quite good - its hitting a few points that many bands will never dare to go near.

I give it a 10 - great message, great band...
