Slide anyone?

That's cool sounding, but it's a little harsh tone-wise. Would it be okay if I used some effects on it?

Also, how are y'all recording? I just plugged an old teisco into a big muff and then plugged that directly into the mic jack and did a little reverb/ring modulation with Audacity.

That explains it. Pedals that are ran direct, unless they're tube powered, can sound a bit harsh. Oh well, you should like what I did with it. (I'll post that up in a while)

I've been micing my amp mostly, except my solo (the first one) was direct through an old effects pedal. (It was one I did of the same track before, I haven't done my solo for this thing yet). Some time soon I'll record mine and I'll probably use the amp for that one.

It doesn't matter, just please don't leave me waiting to long.

Can other instruments play along? My guitar chops suck, but I am slightly less suck on harmonica.

I'm not sure, I was intending on just guitar because I stuck it in the guitar forum, but I guess as long as you could get something in F#/Gb it'd be fine. Not sure yet...

What do the rest of you think?

Rainer. 01-20-2010 11:41 AM

Sure, why not?

gtrdave 01-20-2010 11:52 AM

Go fer it.
I think the contrast would be way cool.

LC7rock 01-20-2010 12:55 PM

Okay, then... If you want to put in other instruments you can. :)
